Having a woman in one’s life is a blessing for everyone in this world, not only the men but the women as well.
I say this because
Women are more compassionate and understanding than men, and we need that in our lives;
Women are more supportive than any man could ever think of being;
Women are the best multi-taskers who can juggle between their family life and work with ease unfound in men.
Yet, the number of women in the workforce is so much less than men, along with the number of women who are entrepreneurs.
I wonder why this is.
A common explanation given by many women is the fact that they wanted to give their full attention to their children and families.
If that were the case, then no businesswomen would ever have had children. And you know that is not true at all.
Being a woman is the greatest gift we can be given, so we must do everything in our power to celebrate and honor the gift that God has bestowed upon us and make every second of lives count as fruitful and not wasted.
Here are two women who have done just that.
These women are not only married but also the mother of five children, and their business empires are so strong and robust that no storm in the business world can ever take them down.
Both in their 50’s and 60’s have proven that a woman can do anything she has set her eyes, and no one can dare stop her dreams from coming to fruition.
Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken
Charlene is 66 and nowhere near to retiring, at least not any time soon. But her brand is something you must have heard, tasted, and loved.
Heineken beer is not something any of us are unfamiliar with. This is a company that is the second-largest brewer in the world, only after Anheuser-Busch InBev, which if you ask me I have not ever drunk. Heineken owned 165 breweries in over 70 countries in 2017. At present, this number must have grown even more.
Charlene owns a 25% controlling share in the company, and she also holds the title and the privilege of being the company’s executive director. So, to say that she is rich would be an understatement.
Although she inherited the company from her father, Freddy Heineken, throughout her leading the company, she has proven that she was the right choice for the position.
With a net worth of 16.3 billion USD, she is the wealthiest person in the Netherlands, and being a British-Ditch citizen, she is the second wealthiest women entrepreneur in the UK.
She is a British national who has made every Briton proud of her accomplishments.
Denise Coates founded an online gambling company. Let me tell you that her company is one of the most profitable gambling companies in the world, earning its revenue in billions of pounds.
She founded the company in the year 2001, and to this day she is the joint chief executive of the company.
At an estimated net worth of 12.2 billion USD, she is one of the richest and most influential businesswomen in the UK.
Although her family was already rich and famous, she is still considered one of the most successful self-made businesswomen in the world. I say this because, at the start of her career, she had taken a £15 million loan from the Royal Bank of Scotland. No millionaire heiress would ever do that.
Apart from being self-made, she is also a responsible citizen who works for the upliftment of her nation. She had donated a whopping 100 million pounds through her foundation in 2014. In the present crisis, she has given 10 million pounds as well.
If that is not inspiring, I am not sure what will be?
These women have proven that your gender should not be the deciding factor for your success. You can achieve any heights that you want to if you have the will and the dedication to do so. Being a man or a woman should not have a role to play in that.
The same is right in the business setting. We believe that men dictate the business and the corporate dimension, and it certainly is, but that does not mean that women cannot grow in this domain.
We might have to struggle a little more;
We might have to put in a bit more effort;
And there is a probability that we may make the wrong decision and find ourselves in a position to take loans for unemployed with bad credit;
There will still be the possibility of turning things to our favor, so what we have to start back up from scratch, at least we have the chance to do that.
Is that not what counts the most?
